AMiT supplies TCN gateways to new trams for the German city of Essen.

We are proud to announce,  that AMiT has won a new contract in the field of TCN communication.  Our company will supply to Kiepe Electric GmbH,  member of the Knorr-Bremse group, 110 MVB/CAN gateways for the Essen – Ruhrbahn tramway project.

The contract for the supply of 51 new high-floor trams has been acquired by  the CAF / Kiepe consortium, whereas Kiepe Electric is providing the comprehensive supply of vehicle electronics in this project. The first passengers in Essen will board the new trams in the first half of 2024. All 51 new high-floor trams for Essen will completely replace the old Docklands and B cars , used  until now by Ruhrbahn.

AMiT is one of the world leaders in the development and production of TCN products for railways and rolling stock. AMiT already delivers similar TCN gateways to a number of countries, including, for example, the Czech Republic, Turkey, Poland, Hungary, Slovakia, Romania and India.

We strongly believe , that we are at the beginning of a long-term and very successful partnership with Kiepe Electric GmbH.
