Products
AMiT Transportation develops and manufactures electronics for rolling stock and public transport: on-board computers and HMI units, vehicle control and I/O units, train communication and Ethernet networking, passenger information displays, audio devices and camera components. The products are designed for the demanding conditions of rail service and meet the relevant railway standards, typically EN 50155, EN 50121-3-2 and EN 45545-2. Development, production and testing take place in house, which keeps long-term availability and technical support in our own hands. The portfolio is complemented by the BUSTEC and GERSYS product lines.

Train communication network (TCN)
-
WTB gateways Gateway between the vehicle bus and the train bus, part of the train communication network (TCN). Ensures interoperability between different cars, standardised according to IEC 61375-1 and UIC 556. Robust, temperature-durable gateways that meet the demanding requirements of rolling stock operation. -
MVB gateways, MVB modules and TRDP modules The MVB converters mediate the conversion of various communication lines to an MVB line. They can be used in units connecting Ethernet or CAN communication lines to the MVB line. The conversion of the communication is processed in both directions. -
WTB and MVB analysers Analysers of the WTB and MVB bus are passive bus elements that monitor the traffic on the bus and pass it to the Ethernet bus in UDP frames. A PC attached to the Ethernet bus runs a program that receives and evaluates these frames. The analyser only monitors the bus, so it stays invisible to the other devices.
Ethernet networking and connectivity
-
Managed Ethernet switches The Ethernet network has proven itself as an inexpensive and reliable means of real- time on-board communication in rolling stock, and Ethernet elements of train networks meet demanding requirements for resistance to extreme temperatures, vibration and electromagnetic interference. The managed switches are supplied with 6 and 12 ports for 10 / 100 Mbps and 1 Gbps, with M12 or RJ45 connections. -
Unmanaged switches Robust, vibration-proof unmanaged Ethernet switches with 10 / 100 Mbps ports, available with M12 or RJ45 connections and in a PoE version. They cover a wide operating temperature range of -40 °C to 70 °C and comply with EN 50155. -
Converters Converters linking Ethernet with CAN, RS485 and digital I/O. Their robust, vibration-proof design uses M12 Ethernet connections, covers an operating temperature range of -40 °C to 70 °C and complies with EN 50155. -
Routers Ethernet ECN routers providing robust, vibration-proof Ethernet connections via M12. They cover a wide operating temperature range of -40 °C to 70 °C, comply with EN 50155 and can be supplied, for example, as a vehicle computer. -
Wi-Fi devices AMiT's internet solution for railways and rolling stock is built on an infrastructure of GSM routers (WR product line), Wi-Fi access points (WAP product line) and supplementary components such as antennas and cabling. It delivers a triple-play service for passengers, crew and the fleet, and complies with EN 50155.
Passenger information displays
