WTB and MVB Bus Analyzers<\/strong> are passive devices that monitor traffic on the bus and transfer it to the Ethernet bus in UDP frames. A PC with software for receiving and analyzing UDP frames is connected to the Ethernet bus.<\/p>

The analyzer only listens on the bus; it is “invisible” to other devices. All types of WTB or MVB frames are monitored. Each frame is timestamped and then forwarded in a UDP frame to the Ethernet bus. To optimize Ethernet bus usage, multiple MVB or WTB frames can be stored in a single UDP frame.<\/p>

On the PC side, the program Wireshark is used, along with a provided plugin. Wireshark is a widely used open-source software for network protocol analysis. With this program and the provided plugin, individual TCN communication frames can be displayed.<\/p>

Additionally, some statistical information about the link layer of WTB or MVB can be obtained, such as the minimum and maximum gap between master and slave frames. It is also possible to analyze higher-layer protocols (TCN PD and TCN MD protocols). For TCN MD protocol, complete TCN messages can be displayed; in the case of UIC E-Telegrams, the header and, for standard E-Telegrams, individual items can be shown. Users can modify or extend the provided plugin as needed, including adding analysis for custom application protocols.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
