The remote I/O units are represented by the RRC-xxx product line. These units are designed and optimized for railway vehicle control and communicate with the central control system using the CANopen DS 401 protocol. The units comply with the requirements of ČSN EN 50155 (electronic equipment for railway vehicles), class TX.
The CAN connectors are daisy-chained (simplified cabling). For setting the communication speed and unit address, a plug-in module RRC-KM is used, which can be part of the cabling (ensuring the so-called geographical node configuration). This solution minimizes configuration errors during possible servicing and replacement. Connection connectors for signals are WAGO type X-COM.
